I'm Pastor Cory Nederveld. I truly believe this ministry is one of those things that can only be credited to God (but what can't). The thing that makes my heart beat is seeing people walk with God. Nothing gives me greater joy than to see the gospel take root in people's lives.
I am married to Jackie, my high school sweetheart, and we have 3 boys who keep us plenty busy: Logan, Hunter, and Dylan.
We love to spend time together whether that is playing in the yard, shooting hoops, riding bikes, or just being crazy.
I also loves sports, coffee, biking, reading, and watching movies.
I'm excited to see how God continuest to work in and through the Rooted ministry!
Matthew Dick

Hi! My Name is Matthew Dick and I am a senior studying recreational therapy at Grand Valley State University. I’m from Grand Haven but am currently living in Grand Rapids. Some of my passions include playing guitar, playing pretty much any sport, and going thrift shopping. In the past, I’ve worked with a couple different ministries such as leading on the worship team for Campus Ministry at Grand Valley along with leading a mission team to Guatemala this past spring break. I’ve been apart of Rooted right from day one at the beginning of my freshman year of college back in 2017. That was when Rooted was at 6:30 in the morning and I still showed up because I loved what God was doing through and in our Rooted group. Fast forward to now, I’m extremely excited to be apart of year 4 of Rooted and really pursue what it looks like to be a follower of Christ in a strong community setting. I love forming new relationships and getting to know people as brothers and sisters in Christ, and I’m excited to see God use Rooted as a ministry of young adults to further his kingdom. Grace Dick

Hi all! My name is Grace Dick. I am currently a 6th grade Math Teacher at Godfrey Lee Middle. I am from Midland, Mi, but have made the west side my home. I love to paint, go camping, and host people in my home with some warm cookies on the table. I have led small groups through campus ministry during college at Grand Valley and had the pleasure of leading a spring break trip with them as well. I started to get involved with Rooted a couple years ago when, my at the time fiancé, Matthew Dick, invited me to tag along with him. What I found quickly was a group that I wanted to invest in, that I could find community in, and dig deeper into the word of the lord than I ever had with. I am excited beyond words to continue to find fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ and declare the simple truth of the gospel: Jesus. So, come join us and dig your roots here.
